My story: Mixing Asian and Middle Eastern flavors
Join me in the ‘not too sweet’ club.
Welcome! I’m so excited you’ve discovered my bakes! I have a love of bread and pastries and always want to share them with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. If I could eat everything I baked, I would, but it’s more fun to share.
Everything is made in small batches from my home base in Southern California. I’m inspired by the incredible depth of Asian cultures in this region. In my formative years (college and beyond), I explored different Asian eateries and neighborhoods. These experiences left a mark on my palette that I still enjoy (and seek out) these flavors today.
I’m also a huge lover of the spices and flavors of my Syrian and Arab heritage. I’ve found an interesting overlap in spices and techniques from these Eastern cultures (Middle and Far) so naturally I tend to combine them. It’s resulted in some interesting creations that I can’t wait to share with you.
I use high quality, fresh ingredients from local farmer’s markets and Middle Eastern stores. As Syrians, we are fussy about our ingredients and I can’t complain because it results in delicious bakes.
My bakes are curated to appeal to the bread and pastry lover looking for something unique, authentic, and not too sweet.

How it started
I grew up between Saudi Arabia and Syria watching my mom run her own baking business from home.
I remember watching my mom make all kinds of cakes and pizzas as a kid. We had dozens of cake tins lining our kitchen walls.
Inspired by my mom’s creativity and passion for baking, I’m following in her footsteps and sharing my creations from my Arab and American communities.
Where we’re going
I’ve created modern bakes incorporating Middle Eastern spices and flavor profiles inspired by my mom’s deep knowledge of Middle Eastern flavors and baking.
Mixed in with the rich Asian cultures in Southern California with Western style pastries, it’s a delicious fusion you’ve got to try.
